Believe it or not back in the days the M in MTV actually meant the channel played some “music“. This as opposed to the endless stream of subpar reality shows they are now peddling.
When I was an impressionable young teen there was nothing better than catching the newest videos from my favourite bands. It is odd to think that back then, partly aided by the lack of competition from the Internet, we used to discover new bands through their new video clips.
This Aerosmith stormer, featuring Edward Furlong fresh from his Terminator 2 fame, was probably when I started to consider these videos as a valuable form of artistic expression. Worth watching just for Joe Perry‘s guitar solo in front of an onrushing train.
