Filmed in three takes, this video was the first time many people were made aware of Tribes, who had previously relied on word of mouth and live performances to spread their message.
The original idea was formed as a pub conversation, yet unlike many of such far-fetched moments of drunken ‘wisdom’, this idea actually came to fruition when the man who had shared the idea began closing down his business leaving him with an empty building, prompting him to call Dan White of Tribes.
Knowing they only had three takes before the police would arrive at the Camden residence, there is something very raw about the video with the infective energy which stops the passers-by, but ultimately the symbolism of the video is most poignant: ‘Hi we are Tribes, we are a new band, we are attracting attention to ourselves by standing on this building, come at us world.’
