POLSKY is not a band, it is a corporation. This is my impression and I’m sticking by it.Their debut album “My Own Company” is an attack on consumerism, 21st century politics and media prying.
Fronted by Chris Warren, whose official title is CEO, the “executive board” is completed by Senior Synth Architect, Ben Warn (keyboards), Rhythm Logistics Engineer, Alex Robertson (drums) and Low Frequency Systems Analyst Chris Norman (bass).
The band clearly lays out its anti-corporate manifesto on the single “Switchboard Operator“, a post-punk anthem with a not so hidden critique of corporate culture. Leaving the lyrical content aside the track has enough of a spark to warrant repeat visits.
The album ‘My Own Company‘ is out in June.
