A lot has occurred since The Postal Service released their seminal debut album “Give Up” and whereas that album blended indie and indie electronica as it stood in the early 00’s perhaps Green offers an accurate snapshot of where indie stands as a whole in 2016.
The sampling concept is interesting enough as it is but its the execution here that is inspiring. Differing melodic progressions and unexpected vocal variations lead to a soaring chorus that capitalizes on the tracks building momentum
