Don’t get me wrong, I love my siblings but I could never see any of us surviving more than a week in a band with them. Having said history is filled with artists who successfully navigated all kinds of family dynamics to produce great music.
Following in this tradition are The New Respects. The Nashville 4-piece consists of twins Alexis (bass) and Zandy Fitzgerald (guitar), along with their brother Darius (drums), and cousin Jasmine Mullen (vocals/guitar) and by the sound of their single “Trouble” they having nothing to envy those who came before.
“Trouble” is an assured number that brings to mind the attitude and effortless cool of Deap Valy with the unhinged inventiveness of The White Stripes.
