The artful, celestial and spiritual sound of “Mars” is quite simply a joy to let wash over you. Although there is more than one dimension to highly promising songwriter. Halfway through, the song bursts into a Radiohead/Cursive explosion of distorting guitars before curling, sleepily into the circular beauty of a build up with the anthemic vocal motif ‘everything won’t change like it does’. This is songwriting at it’s most creative, and songwriting at it’s best.
