Much like the track itself the video for Momo Ishiguro‘s “A Novel Light That Changed” is a veritable journey through luscious and fluid soundscapes all in the search for a light. The track recalls a cocktail of Kandinsky, M83 as well as Massive Attack punctuated by the New York City-based producer/vocalist’s crystalline vocals which bring a slightly 90s R&B tinge to proceedings.
The video was directed by Ned Myerberg and Tracy Szatan who shot the entire thing in 16 mm colour film. The result is truly mesmerising.
The track is taken from Ishiguroʼs debut EP, ‘Intl Style‘, released by Art Not Love Records. The songwriter is said to be working on a brand new EP at the moment and we can’t wait to hear (and see) the results.
