Weekend Videos: Parts – “False Dreams”

False Dreams” marks the punchy first single off of Tel Aviv based band Parts’ upcoming debut album. The three-piece melds rhythmic and hypnotic groove to create a head-bopping beat that almost contradicts the lyrics, which reveal a full-speed train of thought about the predicaments of self-inflicted isolation. Inspired by songwriter Bar Huss’ personal experiences with insomnia, “False Dreams” explores the notion of being so lonely that the rest of the world, including one’s immediate surroundings, evaporates into a “lost society”.

The music video for “False Dreams”, a product of Ilan Bar’s vision, propels the song’s observations through its striking images of duality, specifically dealing with hope. The camera follows three protagonists and the domino effect that their actions, directly and indirectly, have upon one another. The video follows their intertwining threads as they navigate a day tormented by fate.

Parts are soon to release their debut album, “Pleasure as Pain.” Produced by Ran Shem Tov, their first album is an observation of opposition, a collection of odes to life’s spontaneity as explored through musical fusions.

“False Dreams” is out now!
