It always brings a little joy to discover Irish producer Sal Dulu has released a new track. By this stage, his fingerprint is instantly recognizable and he continues to deliver his own unique aesthetic.
“Buzzcut” effortlessly blends old school rap vibes with a laid back electronic vibe and a little jazz cool. Atlanta-based rapper Stahhr is brought into the fold for this one allowing her vocals to shine and the lyrics to make an impact. In part, it reminds me of Moby‘s “Porcelain” in its graceful delivery and choice of sounds but the addition of rap verses, particularly when delivered by a female MC, gives the track an individualistic and genre-bending twist.
Stay tuned as Sal Dulu continues to work his magic and make a note of the name Stahhr because I honestly believe she deserves the attention.
