Gothenburg outfit Orochen‘s offers an intersection of heavy influences (as is befitting to their region) as well as seminal 80’s indie. The result is music that is filled with hooks but that you wouldn’t necessarily play at a family reunion (of course, depending on your family).
The EP “Mechanical Eyes” showcases the Swedish 4-piece’s penchant for melodic instrumentals, ambitious crescendos and distorted guitars. The almost whispered vocals anchor the band offering something a little different to their contemporaries.
