Kari Kimmel and Joe Corcoran‘s “day” jobs have seen them achieve literally mllions of streams when penning tunes for the likes of Ke$ha and Demi Lovato. With such successes under their belts already it is not entirely unobvious for the LA-based outfit to explore different soundscapes on their own work as LUC.
Mixing synth pop and indie influences with a solid percussive line these songs seek the idiosynctatic without forgoing those catchy elements that will keep you coming back for more . Despite vocal lines that often veer into the unexpected there is no air of pretention. Rather, these diversions serve the song creating peaks and climaxes.
