Circumnavigate left their home in Olso presumably to seek further success in London. However, they have not left behind that Nordic flair that distinguishes several artists from the region, many of which we have loved and shown admiration for over the years.
Frontwoman Sigrid Zeiner‘s voice floats gracefully over gentle piano motifs carefully building momentum with every delivered line. The production works a wonder augmenting the overall sound with ghostly backing vocals, and subtle strings. The quartet intentionally opts for a less-is-more approach where possible yet it never feels like anything is missing or anything has been left unsaid.
While the tracks sound almost introverted in nature, there is an underlying positivity on display that leaves the listener with a warm fuzzy glow after each listen.
Sometimes it is the simpler things in life that bring the most joy.
