Vince Staples is one of the most outspoken characters in today’s musical landscape and it has served him well. While his unscripted barbs and instantly quotable remarks are always interesting, the Long Beach native also has the chops to get away with talking shit about anything and anyone.
His 5th album showcases many aspects we have loved from previous releases while adding a few more twists. This time nostalgia is heavily present, as the rapper explores his origin story.
Still only 28, some would argue it is a little early to run a life retrospective but Staples has seen and lived enough to make this endeavour worthwhile.
“RAMONA PARK BROKE MY HEART” is a worthy addition to Staples’s discography
