It would be fair to say that Kurt Wagner is an artist who is unafraid to take his music in new and daring directions. Perhaps this is the confidence that comes with age but it is undeniable that over several releases now Lambchop has delivered way more highs than lows.
“Police Dog Blues” is the first track taken from the upcoming ‘The Bible‘ album and if you pardon the pun it proves that you can teach an old dog new tricks. If only because for the first time Wagner has not been involved with the production at all relinquishing or rather bequeathing, the role to Ryan Olsen (Poliça, Gayngs) and Andrew Broder. By allowing his collaborators to deal with these duties he is able to come out of the other side sounding refreshed.
“Police Dog Blues” is accompanied by a striking video directed by Isaac Gale who created the shots using the Unreal 3D graphics engine. The results are stunning.
