Having released the rather brilliant “Paradigmes” album in 2021 La Femme make a snappy return by announcing their eminent release. “Teatro Lucido“. For the few who struggled with the French lyrics on the previous release, the band has switched things up for this one by opting to sing entirely in… Spanish. This choice was apparently inspired by their travels throughout South America and Spain and seems to have added some flair to the Parisian collective’s output as demonstrated by the first single from this album, “Sacatela“!
“Sacatela” is a bright, breezy psych-pop tune with lively shaker rhythms and an infectious vocal hook that’ll have you singing along in no time. The music video was shot in Nice and is just as fun, colourful, and full of life as the song itself. Directed by French director Ilan Zerrouki, the video features the members of the band and is a playful tribute to unacknowledged desires and unpursued dreams, a concept the band refers to as “Sacatelism“.
La Femme has already achieved massive success with two gold records in France and a Victoire de la Musique award, showing no signs of slowing down. With the release of “Teatro Lucido“, they’ve announced even more tour dates in France, Greece, Italy, the Netherlands, and the USA, including stops at the III Points Festival in Miami and Levitation Festival in Austin.
The band has always been ahead of the curve, being one of the few French artists to achieve international success while singing in their native language. Now, with “Teatro Lucido” they are aiming to expand their reach even further.
So, what are you waiting for? Get ready to shake it to the sounds of La Femme, and “Sacatela” your worries away!
