Indie darling Soccer Mommy has delivered a heartfelt music video for her song “Feel it All the Time“. While on paper, pairing a medieval-style video with a country-tinged track may seem like a mismatched combination, director Zev Magasis manages to make the whole experience feel authentic and unpretentious.
The video follows Soccer Mommy, born Sophie Allison, as she rides a horse and cruises through a generic suburban landscape before stumbling upon a sword, which she wields with far too much joy. Interspersed with shots of the song being performed, the video exudes a genuine intimacy that adds another layer to the track.
“Feel it All the Time” explores the theme of feeling trapped and worrying about time running out, using the metaphor of an old truck to express the feeling of ageing too fast. The track is taken from Soccer Mommy‘s fifth studio album, “Sometimes, Forever“, and stands out as a high point on the record and in her career.
Currently on her appropriately named Touring, Forever world tour, Soccer Mommy has already rocked stages across Europe, the UK, and North America, where “Feel It All The Time” will undoubtedly resonate.
Soccer Mommy‘s indie spirit continues to shine through in her music, and we can’t seem to get enough of her honest and relatable work ethic.
