Honest to the core with deeply intrinsic lyrics and showing bravery from extinguishing his inner demons through music and a disciplined gym routine, Zambian-born Stanley Sibande is a folk singer and multi-instrumentalist who is on a mission to show the UK what his music is all about this July.
Arriving on the windy but beautiful shores of Cape Town, South Africa 5 years ago with just a small backpack and a guitar on his back, Stanley Sibande is a proper musician who you will want to root for. He has built up a loyal following, has been backed by the team at Sit the Folk Down and Just Music South Africa and performs intimate shows that will get the heart racing and the ears tingling.
Known best for covering Novo Amor‘s brilliant “State Lines“ on YouTube which has reached over 15k fans, Stanley has worked with renowned Cinematographer Alex Ortscheit and Director Adam Hanson on superb videos for “Cuts“ and “Clusters“, while also busking full-time at the iconic V&A Waterfront in Cape Town.
